Tourmaline, probably the species uvite or dravite, occurs very sparingly in some of the roadcuts near Fermoy, Ontario. Very rarely some of this tourmaline is transparent enough in small sections to yield small faceted gems. The gems offer for sale on this page were collected several decades ago when area roads were being widened and the roadcuts were freshly exposed.
